Preparing New Vessels for New Wine

Feb 16, 2026    Kevin Crawford (Senior Pastor)

This powerful message takes us deep into the spiritual seasons God has ordained, particularly focusing on the Jewish calendar and how God's timing operates beyond our human calendars. We explore the transformative concept of 'turning tables'—how God prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies, literally reversing circumstances that seemed impossible. Drawing from the book of Esther, we see how God positioned His people for deliverance during the month of Adar, a time of preparation before breakthrough. The central teaching revolves around Mark 2:22, where Jesus declares that new wine cannot be put into old wineskins. This isn't just ancient wisdom—it's a call for us today to become new vessels, cleansed and sanctified, ready to receive fresh outpouring from Heaven. Like the old bottles that once held soda and needed redeeming and sanitizing before being refilled, we too must allow God to cleanse us from weariness, fear, anxiety, and the accumulated dirt of life's difficult seasons. The message challenges us to move beyond living off yesterday's testimonies and last week's devotions, urging us toward daily renewal and filling with the Holy Spirit. When 120 believers gathered in unity in the upper room, they were filled with new wine and 3,000 souls were added in a single day. That same power is available to us—but we must prepare our vessels through prayer, worship, and surrendering the weights that hold us back.
