Unshakeable Confidence

Aug 20, 2026    Kevin Crawford (Senior Pastor)

What does it look like to face down fear with unshakeable confidence? This message takes us deep into that question, anchoring us in Philippians 1:28, where we are called to not be terrified by our adversaries. The spiritual insight here is profound: the way we respond to pressure and opposition is itself a testimony. When the enemy sees no fear on our faces, it signals something powerful about whose side we are on. We are reminded that fear is not the absence of courage but rather something we must refuse to broadcast. Through vivid real-world illustration, including a harrowing missionary encounter in Kenya where a double rainbow served as a divine confirmation of God's covenant peace, we see how God meets us precisely at the point of our greatest vulnerability. The rainbow imagery draws a direct line back to God's covenant with Noah, reminding us that His promises are not abstract but personal and timely. The central challenge is this: are we speaking words that come into agreement with fear and destruction, or are we speaking words of faith that align with what God has already declared over our lives? This message calls us to guard our words, guard our confidence, and trust that the God who showed up in Kenya, who showed up for the early church, is the same God who shows up for us today.
